Peptic Ulcer
Peptic Ulcer Description:
A peptic ulcer is a sore on the lining of your stomach, small intestine or oesophagus. A peptic ulcer in the stomach is called a gastric ulcer. A duodenal ulcer is a peptic ulcer that develops in the first part of the small intestine (duodenum). An oesophageal ulcer occurs in the lower part of your oesophagus.
Causes
In this disease, two inner stratums (layers) of the stomach are wounded, either due to the presence of an excessive amount of aciduria defiance of mucus. Consuming excessive amounts of tea, coffee or spicy food, smoking among other causes, can result in hyperacidity.
Symptoms
- Upper abdominal pain.
- This pain generally intensifies after eating and continues sporadically.
- Along with pain, it causes a lack of appetite, nausea, chest burning and flatulence.
- An ulcer may also develop in the upper part of the small intestine (duodenum). Its symptoms are similar to the stomach ulcer but the only difference is that eating crackers, biscuit and drinking milk reduces pain.
Prescription
Of water for adults and 1oz. For children and for minor children, according to the physicians advise, treat with 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon of the treated water.
